CHP units give Czech district heating plants the opportunity to eliminate the negative impacts of rising allowance prices. We discussed this and other topics as the main partner of the conference.

Many interesting topics were discussed at the DISTRICT HEATING AND ENERGY DAYS CONFERENCE and it was confirmed that the changes in the power engineering are beginning to be reflected in the heating plant industry. We believe that one day the Czech heating plant industry and CHS systems will become stronger with these changes.

We are glad that many speakers confirmed the crucial role of cogeneration in the transformation of district heating plants👍🏻. It was one of the main topics.

District heating plants will also soon be generating power on a large scale💡. They will help us all by stabilising the energy system and contribute by stabilising the prices for power. Our lecture also showed that CHP unit operation solves many problems for district heating plants themselves.

In its lecture, GENTEC presented slow-running natural gas-fired CHP units with an output of up to 11 MWe, which are the solution for district heating plants that face high costs for emission allowances. We described the specificities of large-scale CHP plants, we outlined the project economics, and made comparisons with other technologies. We also outlined the benefits that large-scale cogenerations bring to district heating plants that adapt to the newly transforming power engineering industry. The lecture was aimed not only at the district heating plant operators but also at power engineering related investors and operators of large-scale corporate district heating plants.
