GENTEC develops hydrogen cogeneration units. As one of the first in the world, we are introducing functional cogeneration unit burning a mixture of hydrogen with natural gas and other gases. We are launching the GT-MH2 260 eco.
In the near future, cogeneration units will combust hydrogen produced from renewables. Cogeneration will therefore be a very important part of modern energy. Cogeneration units will use accumulated hydrogen at times when there is not enough production from the sun or wind. Cogeneration units will then provide the necessary flexibility for energy stabilization. We want to be there and move CHP technology into the future.
When developing a hydrogen cogeneration unit, we focus on operational safety. We implement multi-level security elements in CHP and its control system.
Thanks to the possibility of converting the existing CHP to combust hydrogen, the investment requirement is acceptable compared to other technologies.
By combusting hydrogen, primary fuel will be saved and emissions will be reduced.
CHP units can burn hydrogen in a mixture of selectable ratio with other gaseous fuels. This flexibility will be important in times of hydrogen scarcity. For example, fuel cells do not allow this.
From approximately 2025, it will be possible to combust up to 100% hydrogen in our CHP units.
Our CHP units are hydrogen ready. This means that already delivered units can be converted to hydrogen combustion in the future.
